Duskfade realm objectives — confirmed demo route checklist
A spoiler-light Duskfade objective checklist for the updated demo, separating confirmed route milestones from unknown full-game objectives.
The updated demo's confirmed arc is to begin Zirian's rescue, explore Tick Town and four biomes, unlock Blast Attack and Grapple, meet added NPCs and reach Wrath. Exact quest text and full-game objectives are not published.

What this checklist can and cannot do
This is a spoiler-light objective board for the current demo, not a fabricated quest log. Official sources describe the journey, areas, powers and final boss, but they do not publish the exact on-screen objective text or every checkpoint. The June 2026 update also added about 50% more gameplay, making routes from the older 2025 demo unreliable.
Use the checklist to understand your next category of task. If an objective name on your screen differs, follow the game. We will add exact wording only after verifying it in the current build.
| Objective stage | Confirmed goal | Completion evidence | Boundary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opening | Start Zirian’s journey to rescue his sister from Despair | Story moves beyond the opening setup | Exact quest title not published |
| Tick Town | Explore Zirian and his sister’s home and see the Evil Tower | You have entered or passed the added Tick Town content | NPC order is not published |
| Biome traversal | Cross the demo’s four biomes, with Mines specifically named | New environment sections and traversal challenges appear | Official post does not give a complete ordered biome list |
| Power progression | Unlock Blast Attack and Grapple | Both powers are available before the ending challenge | Pickup locations may differ from old-demo videos |
| Story and NPCs | Meet Cloudies and find more lore/backstory | New dialogue or lore is encountered | No complete NPC or lore-entry list exists |
| Finale | Reach and fight Wrath | The demo culminates in the named boss battle | Phases and weaknesses are not officially documented |
Stage 1: Tick Town and the rescue setup
The updated demo welcomes players to Tick Town, where Zirian and his sister grew up, and specifically says players can witness the Evil Tower. The full demo description frames the journey around rescuing the sister from Despair after time stops and night refuses to end. Those are confirmed story anchors; the exact sequence of conversations is not.
Do not rush every dialogue if your goal is story completion. The update adds more NPCs, including talkative Cloudies, and more lore and backstory. Because no official NPC checklist exists, the reliable completion method is to check nearby talk prompts before leaving a settlement-like area rather than following an invented “five NPC” count.
Stage 2: clear the four-biome demo path
Weird Beluga says the refreshed demo contains four biomes, including the Mines. The demo store page also names a magical forest and ancient clockpunk ruins, while Tick Town is now an expanded location. These descriptions overlap in ways the developer has not converted into an official numbered level list, so this guide will not claim a precise 1-to-4 order.
The useful objective is environmental: complete the platforming challenge in front of you, then verify that the route has advanced to a visibly different zone. Improved visibility in dark areas was part of the newest polish pass; official text does not identify which named zones received the largest change.
Stage 3: unlock and apply both named powers
Blast Attack and Grapple are the two powers explicitly named on the demo page. When a new power appears, stop and test it in the immediate safe space. Duskfade blends traversal and combat, so a power may solve both an enemy encounter and a route obstacle. The abilities database records only confirmed functions and keeps unknown damage or cooldown values blank.
If an old guide sends you to a pickup that is absent, assume version drift first. The current demo is larger than the original release and should be treated as a new route.
Stage 4: Wrath as the end-of-demo check
The official description says the demo ends in an intense battle against Wrath, a manifestation of Zirian’s fears. Reaching it means you have completed the published route arc. No official text gives phases, health values or weaknesses, so a clean objective list stops at “reach and defeat Wrath” rather than inventing a boss script.
Four difficulty settings are available. Changing difficulty to learn the fight is an officially supported choice, not a failed run. Completion times beyond the developer’s “over an hour” description vary with exploration and retries.
Full-game objectives still unknown
The full game advertises ethereal forests, underwater realms, sunlit dunes and cloudy heights, but no official quest list, realm order, checkpoint map or post-game objective list was available on August 1. Those belong in a launch-version walkthrough, not a demo checklist. See the realm walkthrough for the verified world boundary.
