Duskfade realm walkthrough — every area confirmed so far
Before launch, only the demo route is walkable: the outskirts of Tick Town, a magical forest and clocktower ruins, ending at the Wrath boss. For the full game, official pages confirm forest, underwater, desert and sky realms but no order or maps yet.
How this walkthrough works before launch
Duskfade does not launch until August 13, 2026, so an honest walkthrough can only cover two things today: the demo route that anyone can play right now, and the full-game realm types that official pages have named. Everything else — realm order, level counts, maps, checkpoint locations — is not published anywhere official, and we will not invent it. This page gets rebuilt into a proper region-by-region walkthrough at launch.
If you have not touched the game at all yet, start with the beginner guide for platforms, pricing and the confirmed moveset.
The demo route: Tick Town outskirts to the clocktower ruins
The free demo (Steam and PS5) is a condensed version of the opening level. Official store and publisher pages describe three connected areas, in this order:
- Outskirts of Tick Town — the starting zone, introducing Zirian, his mechanical companion Cuckoo and the basic jump, dash and slash controls.
- The magical forest — a wilder stretch that leans on the platforming side of the kit as the challenges escalate.
- Clocktower ruins — ancient clockpunk ruins where, in the publisher’s words, time itself feels broken; this is where the demo’s unlockable abilities (the Blast Attack and the Grapple) come into play.
We are deliberately not publishing step-by-step routes, enemy placements or timings for these areas: the demo has already been updated once (September 2025 demo, refreshed for the June 2026 announcement), and the launch build may differ again.
Wrath — the demo’s boss fight
The demo ends with a boss fight against Wrath, officially described as a manifestation of the fears Zirian must overcome. That framing matters beyond the demo: official material says Duskfade’s foes each embody an emotional hurdle in Zirian’s coming-of-age story, so Wrath is likely the template for how the game structures its bosses — but that reading of the full game is inference, not confirmed structure.
No official source publishes Wrath’s attack patterns, phases or any weakness, so we do not list them. What is safe to say: the fight is positioned as the demo’s skill check after both unlockable abilities are in hand.
The four realm types confirmed for the full game
The Steam page confirms the full game spans realms built by the Master Clockmakers across four named environment types. Here is everything official material currently attaches to each:
| Confirmed environment | What official pages say | Walkthrough status |
|---|---|---|
| Ethereal forests | Named on the Steam page; the demo’s magical forest suggests this type appears early, which is unverified | Demo area playable; full version not yet verified |
| Underwater realms | Named on the Steam page as an explorable realm type | Not yet verified |
| Sunlit dunes | Named on the Steam page (press text: “sunscorched dunes”) | Not yet verified |
| Cloudy heights | Named on the Steam page (“lands above the clouds” in the overview text) | Not yet verified |
No official source states how many levels each type contains, what order you visit them in, or whether the structure is linear or hub-based. Press previews describe exploration-driven level design that rewards hunting hidden secrets — we track what that means for collectors on the secrets page.
What is not mapped yet
To keep this page trustworthy, here is the explicit not-yet-verified list as of July 26, 2026: total realm and level counts, realm order, world map, fast travel or checkpoint systems, boss list beyond Wrath, enemy placements and any location of upgrades or collectibles. None of this has been published by Weird Beluga, Fireshine Games or the Steam page. When the game launches we will replace this section with tested routes, and anything that changed between demo and launch gets flagged rather than silently rewritten.
FAQ
- How many realms does Duskfade have?
- No official total has been published. The Steam page names four environment types — ethereal forests, underwater realms, sunlit dunes and cloudy heights — but does not say how many distinct levels or realms ship at launch.
- Can I play any part of Duskfade right now?
- Yes. The free demo on Steam and PS5 covers a condensed version of the opening level — the outskirts of Tick Town, a magical forest and clocktower ruins — ending with the Wrath boss fight.
- Is there a full level list or world map yet?
- No. As of July 26, 2026 no official level list, realm order or in-game map has been published. This page will be rebuilt into a proper walkthrough once the game launches on August 13, 2026.
